A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education candidate of Witharaga mixed secondary School who was reported missing was found in a sugarcane plantation at Oyuma village.
According to the uncle Daniel Oketch, the form four student Martine Odhiambo was found inside a sugarcane plantation alive but in a disturbing condition on Friday morning.
“I was called by cane cutters from Oyuma village who said that they had found somebody inside the sugarcane plantation and when I went I found that he was the lost form four student,” said Oketch.
“The student could not be able to talk and express himself immediately as he looked tired and hungry afterward he was pulled out of the sugarcane and taken home in Witharaga,” he added.
A neighbor Dorcas Gumbe said that the student was found in the plantation, dirty, hungry and mentally tortured.
She said the student started talking after he was prayed for at home and taken back to school to continue writing his remaining two papers of Chemistry and Biology practice.
The principal of the school Gideon Odhiambo said that the student was found alive and is ready to continue with his remaining examinations of Chemistry and Biology but his fate on the examination of Christian Religious Education that he missed on Wednesday is yet to be addressed by the examining body.
