National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale has been warned that Abdwak clan will deny him Garissa Township seat in the coming elections.
Garissa political analyst Harun Cheretei says Duale is favoring the Abduwak clan when it comes to politics and his campaigns.
The political pundit says Duale is seeking votes only from this clan and favours them when it comes to politics.
“Duale has concentrated his politics to his clan and this will cost him in the coming elections. This makes him a tribal leader. The age of tribal politics is over,” says Cheretei.
He says such politics should be played by MCA’s, and not a national leader of Duale's calibre.
“Duale should get serious and stop holding meetings and sorting votes from this clan alone. He needs the back-up of other clans in Garissa which will guarantee him a win otherwise all will be in vain," added Cheretei.
“Just visit the majority leaders Facebook page and see the criticism from other clans that feel neglected. It is not that they don’t see what he is doing. If he wants to survive in the coming elections especially with the strong influence of NASA he should stop being a tribal leader,” he added.
