Addressing media at the Jubilee office in Nakuru on Monday during the handing of nomination certificate to Gilgil nominee Martha Wangari and Molo nominee Kimani Kuria, the leaders urged those who lost to continue supporting the party.
Led by gubernatorial candidate Lee Kinyanjui, the leaders said true leaders will always accept the outcome of any election and move on for development.
“My appeal is to those who did not make it at the nominations please respect the people’s verdict and move on,” said Kinyajui.
His sentiments were echoed by Nominated Senator Liza Chelule who is also the Jubilee Women Rep nominee Nakuru County.
“One of the qualities of a leader is accepting results and therefore those who are moving out of Jubilee because of results of primaries should think again,” she said.
Wangar, who won the Jubilee ticket for Gilgil constituency hanked Gilgil residents for their support.
“I must thank God that we have won the battle and the people of Gilgil this is your victory. Let us support each other and work to ensure development and Gilgil to be the best in Nakuru,” she said.
Similar sentiments echoed by Molo Jubilee nominee Kimani Kuria who said he had finally won the battle and was grateful to all who ensure that he had the certificate.
