Nakuru traffic police commandant Joseph Mwangi confirmed that the over-speeding Toyota Caldina vehicle lost control around State House area and veered off the road before hitting the wall.

“There were no casualties in the accident, the driver emerged safe from the vehicle and has been held for interrogation,” said Mwangi.

The traffic boss said the cause of the accident could not be identified but revealed that police have launched investigations into the incident.

Journalists who arrived at the scene could not be allowed to take photographs by General Service Unit officers (GSU) at the scene of accident as State House is a highly safeguarded area.

The GSU officers helped clear traffic jam along the highway before the arrival of traffic police officers at the scene.
