A shocker accident happened on Thursday night at Roysambu, along Thika road, claiming one life as three other injured were rushed to different hospitals for medical examinations.
The accident happened at 7:30 pm after a personal vehicle which is believed to have been moving at a high speed veered off the road to the passersby’s path, creating a crazy snarl up that forced other vehicles to use alternative routes.
According to James Kiringu, the police who confirmed the incident, the driver of the personal vehicle lost control after the vehicle's breaks failed.
The driver of the vehicle escaped death, but a middle-aged female who was in the vehicle died from injuries and shock.
The four others; two ladies and a young male all who were in the vehicle including the driver were rushed to Thika Level five and Lumumba hospitals where they are being attended to.
"This is not the first accident to happen in this place. Three people died here in April after a lorry veered off the road and knocked them off," said Monicah Gathua, a mother who witnessed the accident.
