[Photo|the-star]Ex-Kibwezi lawmaker Kalembe Ndile is receiving treatment at the Shalom Community Hospital in Athi River following a Saturday morning accident along Mombasa Road.Ndile who unsuccessfully vied for the Mavoko parliamentary seat in Machakos County in the August 8 elections, suffered a fracture on his right leg and left hand, after he was involved in a head-on collision with a trailer, at Devki area on at around 3am.Police records at the Athi River traffic base indicated the Jubilee Party politician was driving a Subaru Forester before failing to stick to his lane, leading to the accident with the trailer headed to Nairobi."On reaching at the location of the accident, the driver failed to keep to his lane and collided head on with the trailer which was heading in the opposite direction," the report seen by a local daily, reports.The hospital said Ndile was responding well to medication.
