A road crash involving a bus and a truck on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway has led to the deaths of at least 19 people, with several others sustaining injuries. The bus, which was coming to Nairobi from Busia when the accident happened, was overtaking when it ran into an oncoming truck, according to police. “The bus was overtaking a small vehicle and come head on with a trailer. At the same time, another trailer which was following the bus hit it from behind,” Rift Valley traffic enforcement officer Zero Arome told The Standard. The driver of the bus disappeared after the tragedy, which happened at Mbaruk area. Those injured are admitted at a Nakuru hospital.
