The head of the Anglican Church of Kenya Archbishop Eliud Wabukala has called on Christians to be in the fore front fighting corruption.
Speaking in Nakuru town on Friday where he commissioned the Imani Shopping Mall, Wabukala said: “Christians should set a good example to be emulated by others”.
He said corruption was impacting heavily on the country’s economy through loss of funds that would otherwise go to development.
He noted that if Christians set the good pace, it would be easy for those intending to engage in corruption to stop.
“In most governmental institutions, prices for various items are normally inflated to benefit a few people. This is wrong,” Wabukala insisted.
He said such people should be dealt with according to the law regardless of their social or political status.
“Quick money has no benefits , it will only increase evil in this country,” he said.
