Renowned activist and Starehe parliamentary hopeful Boniface Mwangi could be arrested after failing to appear before a Nakuru Court to answer charges against him.
Prosecutor Hillary Songoyo on Monday asked the Court to issue an arrest warrant against Mr Mwangi, accusing him of deliberately derailing the progress of the matter.
“It has always been either Mr Mwangi is out of the country or Mr Gikaria being sick. The complainants are becoming impatient with the dragging of the case and we request the court to issue a warrant of arrest against Mr Mwangi,” he said.
Mwangi, alongside e Nakuru Town East MP David Gikaria and three others were accused of mobilising and leading youths to damaging a perimeter wall worth Sh13 million belonging to ENSE Limited last year.
The accused alleged that ENSE Limited had grabbed a section of Naka Primary School that borders the company.
