According to James Kaka who talked to this writer on Tuesday from his office in Nakuru town, most Kenyans are not satisfied by the conducts of the Kitty’s managers since, according to them, there exist no transparency in the way most CDF money is used.

He observed that most CDF officials including Members of Parliament who are the patrons of the Fund are involved in corrupt activities to the expense of development projects and urged the EACC to act and bring to book corrupt CDF Kitty officials.

In particular the political activist, who is getting ready to vie for the Nakuru- East Parliamentary seat in 2017, said the local CDF kitty management lacks transparency in handling the Fund.

Kaka observed that many development projects are stalled while many children from poor families lack school fees yet most CDF officials are swimming in overnight financial glories which they cannot account for.

“I am challenging the Ethics and Anti -corruption Commission to initiate an audit and investigation into the conducts of CDF Kitty officials in the country. These people are swimming in financial glories that they created in a very short time yet they cannot account for it,” claimed Kaka.

He added that those stealing from the kitty that is meant to uplift lives of the local ordinary people.

“Children from poor families are not going to school because they have been denied bursaries yet some people who were equally poor a year ago are driving expensive cars and engaged in multimillion personal projects,’’ said Kaka.

The activist who unsuccessfully vied for the local Menengai Ward County Assembly seat on a Narc Kenya party ticket said he supports the recent court’s ruling against the illegality of CDF.
