Activist Boniface Mwangi has condemned the killing of suspected muggers by police in Nairobi's CBD.

"Muggers are being shot in Nairobi Central Business District. 3 shot dead today alone. So Kenya Police knew who the muggers were all along and they never arrested & charged them?" he asked.

Mwangi added that the Kenyan trend favoured big thieves who are responsible for the joblessness of the youths.

He said that after stealing millions from the government and general public, the 'big' people become elected into lucrative positions instead of being jailed.

"Police are shooting muggers while protecting those looting Kenya and making jobless Kenyans turn to crime. Snatchers get shot. Steal NYS money that is supposed to benefit those youth, we elect you as a governor to continue stealing. Grab school playgrounds and we start saying you will make a good president. Kenyans love big thieves! Small thieves are shot or lynched by the public," he added.
