The late Ken Wafula will be buried on February 2, 2018.
According to the Center for Human Rights and Democracy (CHRD) Executive Director Nick Omito, the activist will be buried at his parents' home near Soy in Likuyani constituency Kakamega County.
“A postmortem on his body will be conducted at the Moi Referral Hospital Farewell Home on Monday, January 29, 2018, with the involvement of both families and their doctors,” he said in Eldoret town, Wednesday.
“Thereafter the body will be removed from the mortuary on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Other arrangements in line with the entire programme will be communicated in due course,” he added.
His burial ceremony is expected to be attended by leaders from across the political divide.
Wafula died at St Luke's Hospital in Eldoret town after developing diabetes and high blood pressure complications.
Until his death, he was the director of CHRD.
