Dennis Bitok on Tuesday said the business could be as a result of illegal logging especially in the nearby Mau Forest.

"We cannot pretend that all these charcoal is coming from town. Our forests, especially Mau, could be at threat over illegal logging,"he said.

He added that there is need of the town dwellers to embrace other sources of energy to save on the trees.

At the same time Bitok called on a stringent laws to help curb logging which he said had greatly resurfaced.
