Boniface Mwangi who is among human rights activists who have experienced the wrath of the Kenya Police said on Tuesday that a government only harasses opponents it is afraid of.

Miguna is the leader of NASA's NRM movement that was formed in the run-up to the repeat election on October 26 last year to fight for electoral reforms in the country.

"President Uhuru Kenyatta’s entire government is afraid of one man, Miguna Miguna," Mwangi said on his official Twitter account on Monday night.

"Miguna Miguna is now the real, one man opposition and since he can not be intimidated or bribed, the President doesn’t want him in Kenya. You harass those you fear, Uhuru fears Miguna," he added.

Miguna returned to the country on Monday after six weeks of deportation in Canada after the government flashed him out of the country on claims he is not a Kenyan.

His deportation to the North American country followed arrests of NASA leaders that participated in opposition chief Raila Odinga's swearing in as the people's president at Uhuru Park on January 30.

Court, however, ordered that Miguna returns to the country and that the Immigration department should process a new passport for him after his other Kenyan passport was destroyed by State operatives.

However, there was drama at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airpor ton Monday when Miguna returned after Immigration department officials denied him entry as he had no valid travel documents.

Attempts by police to force him into a Dubai-destined flight hit a snag after he refused to board the plane.
