Kisumu Residents Voice Association chairman Audi Ogada now wants police in Kisumu to reveal to the public the outcome of investigations of abduction of Kisumu West Member of the County Assembly Paul Okiri.
Speaking to the press in Kisumu on Wednesday, Mr Ogada said the abduction of the MCA is of great concern to members of the public in Kisumu and police have a duty to reveal to them what exactly transpired.
The MCA was abducted at night by unknown people on Thursday last week before being found in Rongo constituency Migori County a day later.
Okiri said his abductors suddenly went soft on him after he told them he will not be defending his seat come the next general election.
Ogada also called on Kisumu County Governor Jack Ranguma to stamp his authority in running various affairs of the county.
He said the governor should ensure his government is in order.
“His silence is raising a lot of queries. When the MCA disappeared, he went silent; when the destruction of property was meted against one of his top officers he went silent. I think this is not good for the residents of this county,” he said.
