They were speaking in Kisii today in response to a destruction of the Kisii Market.

“Hardly a month has elapsed since the destruction's at Keroka took place and here is another destruction at Kisii market without prior warnings,” said Makori.

Mong'are said the county government which the people chose to safeguard their interests is turning against the citizens who elected them.

“The government has not solved disputes at Keroka and here they have done another destruction. How serious is this county government in solving issues,” said Mongare.

“How would someone just decide to wake up on a morning without informing anyone and go demolish property? Its a very sad day for our county government,” he added.

The officers who conducted the demolitions said the county government is planning on organizing and building better structures.

They now want the county government to come forward and be accountable for their actions.
