Human rights activists in Eldoret have sent their message of condolences to the family and friends of the deceased Eldoret based director Center for Human Rights and Democracy (CHRD) Ken Wafula. Led by the Center for Human Rights and Mediation executive director Nick Omito said Wafula will be remembered for having a hard stand in protecting human rights. "As activists in the region we are really saddened by his death and we want to send our message of condolences to the family and friends of the late Ken Wafula. May God give you strength during this hard time, " he said in Eldoret town, Wednesday. "We also want to confirm that he succumbed to natural death that is high blood pressure and diabetes. Our brother has left us a big gap that will never be filled by anyone May his soul rest in eternal peace," he added. Wafula died on Wednesday morning at St Luke's Hospital in Eldoret after developing diabetes and high blood pressure complications. Until his death, he was the director of CHRD.
