Through a letter to the Authority the CEO of Nakuru County Human Rights Network (NAHURUNET) David Kuria has demanded for the speedy and in-depth investigations of the murder of David Kariuki and the police officers who handled the murder case.

‘‘The deceased had earlier informed some of his family members that he feared for his life and later he was found with serious knife injuries in a friend’s house where he was spending the night for fears of being attacked in his house,” said Kuria.

Kuria added that the police at Teachers Police Post failed to respond fast after being informed of the deceased condition and it called for the efforts of the deceased’s parents to look for a vehicle to take him to hospital but unfortunately he died in the said house.

Kuria said that postmortem carried on Kariuki’s body revealed that he was indeed murdered but he accused the police of denying the family a copy of the postmortem report.

On behalf of the deceased's family, the organasitation now wants the Authority to bring to book Kariuki's murderers and also to investigate the Teachers Police Post officers whom he said haven't carried out any investigation on the matter.
