An additional 10,080 election kits have arrived in the country.

The Kenya Integrated Elections Management Systems (KIEMS), the supplier to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Friday confirmed the arrival.

The kits arrived at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) early Friday morning aboard a Kenya Airways flight. The arrival of the 10,080 kits now pushes up the tally of electoral kits in the country to 35,000.

The move is seen as an enhancement towards the preparation of the August 8 election.
