Speaking at the Orange House in Nairobi where he received Jubilee-defectors from the MAA (Masai) community, Raila reminded the president that Kenya is not at war within itself and that the president should stop using the army against poor innocent citizens.

He further asked President Uhuru to stop using the 'Mpende msipende tutafanya' (like it or not, we will do it) slogan as such are statements used by colonialists to blackmail Kenyans.

"The Maa community cannot live well since Uhuru is not ready to address historical injustices and he was using the army against poor innocent citizens. We are not at war," said Raila.

Raila further reprimanded Uhuru and asked him to stop lecturing him for he's not Uhuru's son to be lectured.

"President Uhuru should stop lecturing me since I am not his son ... Kenyans want good leadership and not statements used by colonialists to blackmail Kenyans," Raila said on Tuesday.

The event also saw the Maa community officially endorsing Raila for presidency in the forthcoming general elections.
