Nyamira woman representative Alice Chae has urged the Teachers Service Commission to deploy more tutors to all public secondary schools in the county.
According to Chae, most of the county secondary schools are understaffed, an issue she said the commission should address with urgency.
Addressing the media on Tuesday in Nyamira town, Chae cited Nyambiri Secondary School which she said has only four TSC teachers hence the need for more tutors.
“We need to promote our education standards together, I am calling upon the TSC to intervene and do its addition of teachers to almost all schools in Nyamira county,” said MP Chae.
Other schools the MP said are understaffed include Egetonto and Esanige secondary schools among others.
She urged the county education stakeholders to join hands to promote the county's education standards.
