The two minors Venny Kerubo and Mary Kwamboka were ferried by road to the main hospital only to die on the way.

According to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital Chief Executive Enoch Ondari, the twins left the hospital in good health.

‘It’s sad to hear that the two died," he said.

The doctor further said that they would conduct a series of tests to reveal what exactly caused their deaths as well as determining the body parts which the two shared.

The parents of the two Lydia Bonareri and Mr Caleb Osoro were distraught after the death of their first twins.

The father, however, thanked the doctors and the operation specialists for their efforts in rescuing the lives of the two.

"The operation specialists and doctors received my wife in a critical condition but managed to undertake the successful delivery. Am saddened by their death although I cannot question the will of God,"  said Osoro.
