The KSL Director has been accused of side-lining law students from Moi and Kisii universities by denying them direct entry into the law school.

Kenya Universities Students Organisation Chairman Babu owino has asked Prof Lumumba to allow students from the universities in Kenya to be admitted first before allowing foreign students to flock the law school.

Speaking to this writer on phone, Owino, who is also the Students Organization of Nairobi University (Sonu) President and a law second year law student at University of Nairobi Parklands School of Law, noted that only students from the University of Nairobi get direct admission into KSL while those from other universities are required to apply for admission alongside foreign students.

KUSO Secretary General Charles Juma said that law students from other universities, both public and private, have been petitioning the students’ leaders to address the issue.

“Prof Lumumba should help our law students realise their dream of becoming lawyers in this nation. He should therefore admit students from our Kenyan universities before filling those slots with foreign students,” said Juma.
