A woman who mysteriously disappeared from a Kisumu Court on Wednesday is set to appear before Justice Majanja today.
Kisumu High Court Deputy Registrar Pauline Mbulika said that Martha Nyagol's advocate had plegded to present her in the court on Thursday to explain why and how she left court despite being instructed to remain in custody.
Nyagol was convicted of strangling her husband to death in 2014 at Kanyakwar in Kisumu East District.
She had told the court that she indeed strangled her husband but under pressure from from three men who had masks and were loaded with guns.
Her disappearence from court left the public agape as the court premise is usually heavily guarded.
Following her disappearance, the jobs of policemen who guard the court are on the line as they risk being fired for abdicating duty.
