AFC Leopards midfielder Allan Kateregga is poised to join South African side Cape Town City after a short loan stint with Ugandan club KCCA.
According to reports, Kateregga will be joining Cape Town City on a three-year deal.
The player is currently said to be in South Africa and is ready to sign the contract that could see him become the second footballer in the Kenya Premier League to move to South Africa this year after Masoud Juma formerly of Kariobangi Sharks.
"Allan Kateregga has joined Cape Town City on a three-year deal. He has joined Dennis Onyango in the PSL. He is a left-winger. He was an AFC Leopards player until December 31. He spent the last six months at KCCA FC in Uganda. He was on loan at KCCA. His contract at AFC Leopards expired in December," South African media outlet KickOff announced.
Kateregga started his football career with Sports Club Victoria University in his home country Uganda.
He later joined former KPL champions Tusker FC before moving to National Super League (NSL) side Bidco United.
His move to South Africa was linked to a frosty relationship with Ingwe head coach Robert Matano.
