Kenya Premier League side AFC Leopards are monitoring Burundian star Nahimana Shasir with prospects of signing him ahead of the 2018 season.
Reports indicate that Ingwe have made initial contact with the dangerman who is currently on assignment with his country in the ongoing Cecafa senior challenge tourney in the country.
According to Nahimana who spoke to a local sports website, some two clubs checked on him in their hotel after their match against Uganda on Monday and floated the idea of him featuring in the Kenyan elite league.
"Yes there are two clubs that have come to our hotel after seeing me play against Uganda on opening day.I cannot say whom but just know they are Kenyan clubs,'' he told Soka.
However there are clear indication that one of the club could be Ingwe who are keen on bolstering their offensive front especially after they parted ways with another Burundian, Alexis Kitenge.
Nahimana was on form on Thursday as his side walloped Ethiopia 4-1 to take command of the Group B with 5 points.
He has however said that he still has a contract with Rwandan side Rayon Sport and has no plans of terminating it just yet.
"I still have a contract wit Rayon Sports and I have to see it through. I don't like jumping from club to club but when it does run out I will consider the offers. That's what I told those who approached me after the Ugandan game,'' he added.
