AFC Leopards midfielder Ugandan Kerizon Kizito is on the verge of joining Indian side Kerala Blasters.
Goal.com reports that the player will officially join the Indian National Super League side next week.
The midfielder flew to India last month for talks with the club’s hierarchy ahead of the impending transfer.
AFC Leopards chairman Dan Mule said they are set to release Kerizon Kizito, after certain conditions are met.
"We are in agreement with him (Kizito); the club is going to get Sh1million from the deal and other benefits as well,” Mule is quoted by goal.com.
He added, "Most of the paperwork concerning the transfer of the player will be completed next week. We have no problem with him at all and the doors are open for him suppose he decides to come back again."
AFC Leopards will have to beef up their squad ahead of next year. Ingwe will represent Kenya in the Confederation of African tournament next year, by virtue of having won this year’s Go Tv title.
Kerala Blasters is coached by former Manchester United assistant coach René Meulensteen. Former Manchester United players Wes Brown and Dimitar Berbatov play for the Indian team.
