Thirteen-time KPL champions AFC Leopards are now set to sign in new players ranging from a number of 5-6 during the mid-season transfer window that opens on 1st June 2018.
It is on the record that the club has struggled a great deal in the last seven weeks, failing to register any important win in their past seven matches.
The team's new Argentina tactician, Zapata Rodolfo, is hoping that his boys work tirelessly so as to bring to a stop the poor run when his side clash with Thika United today, Sunday 20th May.
Dan Mule, who is the club chairman, has now said that the club will be signing five or six new players, with an aim of bringing a new workforce that will maybe facilitate better results.
The shaky defense is an area of major concern, therefore AFC officials will bring on board two central defenders who will keep it tight at the back.
"We will sign a maximum of six players. We need two central defenders, two strikers and one or two midfielders depending on availability of quality players. We do not want to repeat the mistakes we've made in the past by signing many players. The coach has identified areas he wants to be strengthened and that's what we are going to do," he said.
The KPL giants have already seen three players move to other clubs. Erick Belo, Henry Uche, and Collins Okoth have had their playing contracts brought to an end on a mutual agreement.
The three had moved in to play for the club at the start of 2018/2019 that kicked of in early February.
