AFC Leopards have vowed to beat Gor Mahia for a chance to travel to England to face Everton FC.
Speaking on Thursday after Sportpesa announced about the tournament that is set to take place in June, AFC Chairman Dan mule said they will not accept another defeat from the Kenya Premier League champions.
Gor beat Leopards last year during the inaugural of the Super Cup in Dar-es-Salaam, earning themselves the chance to face Everton.
“We will not accept a third defeat from Gor. We are targeting their scalp,” Mule cautioned. “They should know that we are coming for revenge. We have talked to our coach and the players and all have agreed to go past their limits in this competition,” Mule remarked when he spoke to Sportpesa.
The annual regional tournament will be held in Nairobi from June 3 to 10. Gor has stood between AFC Leopards and English opposition, beating them twice in the race for the top matches.
Two weeks ago, K’ogalo beat AFC to the chance to face Hull City, a match that ended in a 0-0 draw. Other Kenyan teams that will feature in the tournament include Western Stima and Kariobangi Sharks.
