As the fight against the Zika virus starts, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared it an emergency. The virus has already struck in one African country.

WHO has ruled that Cape Verde is the most affected. According to the WHO report, the country has above 4700 reported cases in a time span of four months. However, the African authorities have been urged to remain united so as to fight the spread of the virus. It is also feared that the virus can spread easily to Africa through international travels. Brazil has recorded the highest number of people suffering from the virus.

According to citizen online news, Dr Ruchika Kohii of Pathologists Lancet Kenya says the Kenyan government should be aware of the potential outbreak in the country. Many people are still in the dark. They do not know anything about the virus. For those who know, they have very little knowledge.

With the continuous airing of the virus news by many media worldwide, many people have now known the reality concerning the virus. However, many are still afraid and thinking of ways to treat it in case they are carriers.

So far, there are a few ways you can treat it, take a lot of fluids, get enough rest and treat pain and fever with common medicines.
