Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala has said the center will be constructed where the current Bomas of Kenya is located and it will be built under the public-private partnership model.

The Bomas International Conference and Exhibition Centre will be constructed on an 82-acre piece of land where the current Bomas of Kenya is located.

The facility will consist of Presidential and VIP pavilions, luxury hotels, conference center halls with a capacity of hosting 10,000 delegates in one sitting, exhibition space as well as other social amenities.

Tenders for the construction are set to be announced in the course of the year.

Balala made the revelation when he handed over KICC which will be used to host the TICAD meeting next week.

The facility was handed over to Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed.
