ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale has criticised persons who are after other's lives.

Citing an alleged attempt on the party's deputy leader Hassan Ali Joho, Etale said human beings leave fingerprints on everything they touch, and so should leave legacy.

Below is Etale's message:

''Whatever we touch, we leave fingerprints. As we touch other's lives, we leave our identity. Life is better when you are happy; but life is at its best when others are happy because of you.

Be faithful in touching other's hearts, be an inspiration. Nothing is more important and worth practicing than being a channel of God's blessing.

Nothing in nature lives for itself. Rivers do not drink their own water; Trees do not eat their own fruits. The sun does not shine for itself; and Flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves.

Jesus did not sacrifice for himself. Living for others is a rule of nature. We were all born to help each other. No matter how difficult the situation you find yourself in; still do good to others.''

During the Monday incident in Migori county, Joho's bodyguard was shot on the leg, as stones and water bottles flew in the air, causing panic, as hundreds scampered for their lives.

Trouble started when the ODM leaders were holding a rally at Posta Grounds. It was disrupted when area governor Okoth Obado arrived unannounced, as Kisumu senator Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o was addressing the crowd.

Mvita lawmaker Abdulswamad Nassir revealed that the car that was carrying him and Joho, was shot at, three times, with live bullets.
