Controversial Nairobi City preacher Victor Kanyari, now wants to be a Member of Parliament.
Kanyari rose to fame following a television expose, whereby, he 'cheated' congregation of being able to perform miracles, as long as one sends him Sh310, via mobile money transfer, MPesa.
He told Nairobi News, that he would be seeking to represent the people of Embakasi Central Constituency at the National Assembly, after the August 8, general elections.
The flamboyant 'fake' preacher said he would vie through president Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party, ticket, and was optimistic of clinching the ticket during nominations, which are set for April.
He revealed he had already submitted nomination papers to Jubilee party headquarters, Monday.
According to him, he grew up in Embakasi Central and understood very well, tribulations that locals go through.
Kanyari further asked the constituents to forget his scandals and vote him in, since he was a 'new man'.
