After clashing with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, President Uhuru Kenyatta has launched a blistering attack on Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi.
Speaking during the launch of the construction of the Sh2.1 billion Mariakani-Bamba Road in Kilifi County, the President said the road will ease transport in the area besides attracting investors to establish businesses in the county. The President also used the occasion to tell off Governor Kingi over his constant criticism of his administration, and asked him to account for the Sh9.6 billion he receives from the Central government every year."They should explain what they have done for the people and leave the national government out of their troubles. I can explain what I have done for the people of Kenya since 2013," the President said.Keen to chip away the opposition's support in the region, the President asked the region to rally behind him in his re-election bid.Pitching for President Kenyatta's re-election bid, Ganze MP Peter Shehe said residents from the area will cast their votes to Jubilee in appreciation of the development projects which have been initiated in the constituency.
