Sang said Mr Kuria reached to his family and admitted to having wrongfully linked him to the 2007 Post-Election Violence.

The journalist who was hosted by a local radio for a morning show said he was ready to forgive all those who fixed him three days after his acquittal over charges related to the violence which claimed about 1,300 lives.

"I know of many other people who participated in having me go to the Hague and some of them have been congratulating me after our cases were dismissed. I think they need to come out and apologise to me," said Sang.

Mr Kuria recently shocked the nation when he admitted to having coached witnesses to fix Deputy President William Ruto and Mr Sang.

Kuria's allegations which almost broke the Jubilee government were brushed off by many who claimed he was seeking political mileage.

Sang however, confirmed that Mr Kuria's claims were real after the legislator approached him at his Trans Nzoia home to apologise.

"He (Kuria) apologised before my family members and I think his revelations could have partly contributed to our acquittal.

The ICC realised that all the accusations against us were not based on truth. I thank him and I would be glad to see others who did the same apologise," he said.
