Former TNA secretary general Onyango Oloo says he was sidelined by Jubilee Party when the outfit wound up in 2013.
Oloo, who has ditched the outfit led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, said promises made were yet to be fulfilled.
"Little did I know that the 11 parties that joined the merger were being led to vicious political conmanship," he said as quoted by the Star.
He said that parties merged into Jubilee may never take part in any activities.
Oloo said, “JAP is in office. TNA is dead. UDF is dead... Other parties are dead. People like Kalembe Ndile are crying... The answer is that we were conned," he said.
He decried that those who worked on the ideology have been set aside
"It is unfortunate. We will bear the consequences but are ready to continue for our ideologies."
Oloo said now that he was no longer in the coalition, he could no longer compromise his personal beliefs by defending Jubilee against corruption and issues of integrity.
He said that the party was founded on a sane agenda but it, unfortunately, turned out the “not truly national".
The former SG says newcomers have become members which could be interpreted to mean that those who have been in the party are no longer appealing.
Saying several other politicians were willing to leave Jubilee to join ODM, Oloo added that those ditching the red and yellow coalition were looking for a "home" which will mind their ideologies.
"We will approach Cord," he said. “We are coming home for the 42 tribes… and I say 'No! No! No! to corruption and ethnicity."
Among those who may decamp are nominated MP Johnson Sakaja who has expressed his disappointment albeit in a muted manner.
On Sunday, he was among politicians allied to Jubilee who disdained Peter Kenneth’s entry into the Nairobi governor race seemingly with the endorsement of senior members of the Jubilee coalition.
Others who may decamp include Miko Sonko, Margaret Wanjiru and others who have joined hands to run for seats in Nairobi County.
Cord leader Raila Odinga is hoping to have all the seats in Nairobi captured by the opposition.
