It has later emerged that the veteran Journalist is headed to  Royal Media's Citizen TV to take up a new role of Editorial Director.

According to Business Today, failure by the SK Macharia-funded media house to hire Linus Kaikai who recently left NTV has prompted it to lure Ageyo who is considered the possible replacement of Peter Opondo who has been holding the position since 2014 following the promotion of Farida Karoney to the position of Chief Operations Manager.

Karoney has since left the media house after being appointed to the Cabinet by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Business today claims that Opondo is set to leave the media house at the end of this month.

Should he move to Communications Centre, Ageyo will be reunited with his former colleagues at KTN including Sam Ogina, Mercy  Kandie, Anne Kiguta and Lulu Hassan.
