Controversial Nandi Hills lawmaker Alfred Keter has vowed to push for the resignation of Sports Cabinet Secretary Hassan Wario over what he termed as leadership inefficiency in the ministry.
Keter who was speaking on Friday in Kapsabet said the CS had failed in managing the Kenyan team to the Rio Olympics games.
The vocal MP said that the minster has failed to appreciate efforts by the Kenyan team to the Olympics by mishandling of their requirements.
The legislator was speaking during the homecoming party of Kenyan-born Bahrainian athlete Ruth Jebet who won Gold in the 3000 meters steeplechase in the ongoing games in Rio de Janeiro.
Keter’s remarks come at a time when leaders, especially from Rift Valley are calling for accountability from Wario over the management of Team Kenya.
The team's management has been accused of giving priority to officials instead of the athletes with cases of representatives missing uniforms and fitting shoes being reported.
Keter has previously differed with Jubilee leaders for attempting to push for motions calling the removal of ministers on graft allegations notably former devolution CS Anne Waiguru.
