Attorney General Githu Muigai has rooted for a review of the electoral petition laws in the country to be in tandem with internationally accepted standards.

Speaking outside the Supreme Court after the upholding of President Uhuru's election by the court, Muigai said that elections should not be annuled on the basis of minor errors as is the practice all over the world.

"Errors will always be there. There is no perfect election," the attorney noted.

Speaking at the same time, leader of Majority in the National Assembly Adan Duale noted that he was happy with the decision.

He noted that Kenya has gone through a difficult moment and appealed to Kenyans to forge forward.

He pledged that the Jubilee administration will move with speed to unite the nation and noted that devolution provided a framework for equal distribution of resources.

He noted that the Judiciary was an independent organ free from external influences.

The six judges unanimously upheld Uhuru's re-election.
