[Photo/softkenya.com]The Agha Khan hospital has acquired a state of the art cancer screening machine, the first of its kind in Kenya.This comes in the wake of mounting cases of cancer in the country.The Positron Emission Tomography (PET) CT scanner and Cyclotron has the ability to detect cancer and specifying its stage.Agha Khan is expected to launch the machine March next year after training of the staff.619 million shillings was used to acquire it and its expected to save patients the trouble of traveling abroad in search of screening services.
