President Uhuru Kenyatta claims that age has ‘caught’ up with his opponent Raila Odinga and wants him to take a break from active politics.

The duo are set to face each other in August, barely five years after bruising in another epic battle in 2013 polls.

In his tour to Kisii County on Tuesday, Uhuru said he will not hesitate to ‘take’ care of the old once they retire from active politics.

“I think age has caught up with him and he should retire in peace,” said Uhuru in reference to Odinga during his stop over at Masimba.

He added: “I have nothing against him and I will be glad to take care of him if he voluntarily quits. However, I am ready to send him home if he can’t quit.”

Both leaders have launched vicious campaigns with only two months before the country goes to elections, which will be a rematch of 2013 edition.

During his tour, Uhuru urged locals to give him another term to ‘finish’ a host of projects which are being undertaken by Jubilee government.
