140 exhibitors are set to showcase their products in Mombasa Photo/Sputnik International
More than 140 exhibitors are set to display their products at the Mombasa International Agricultural Show following its official opening by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday.
The five day event will have a combination of foreign and local exhibitors showcasing technological expertise in agriculture.
Agriculture Principal Secretary Dr. Richard Lesiyampe lauded the Mombasa County government for setting up the event and helping to empower local farmers.
He also expressed his gratitude with the county of Mombasa's willingness to welcome technological renovation with the agricultural sector.
One thing that was noted this year as opposed to last year was the decline in exhibitors. In 2016 there were 170 exhibitors, 30 more than this year.
However, there is a lot of expectation for this exhibition and locals are sure to benefit from the agricultural expertise set to be showcased.
