Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi. [Photo| Courtesy]Senior counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has criticised Opposition leader Raila Odinga after his swearing-in as the people's president was postponed. The inauguration was to take place on Jamhuri Day, December 12, 2017, in Mombasa county. Nasa, however, announced on Sunday that the event has been pushed to a later date after extensive consultations. In a mockery tweet, Abdullahi who represented President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August and October presidential petition polls questioned why Raila's oath-taking was postponed. He further wondered when Odinga's term in office as people's president would begin and end and where he will be based. "Now if you were elected the people's President how do you cancel your swearing? What does the Law persuant to which you were to be sworn says about this? When does your term of office start and end? Where will you be based?...difficult questions," the lawyer noted in a tweet on Sunday.
