Nyamira governor John Nyagarama is not interested in ODM and its leader Raila Odinga, former Embakasi South MP Ishrad Sumra has claimed.
The confirmation from the staunch follower of Raila now seals the fate of the second term governor whose loyalty has been in question for many years.
"Nyagarama is not interested in the party and in our leader Raila Odinga. He has never shown any commitment especially after winning his second term," he said on Wednesday.
For two weeks now, Nyagarama has been out of the country for medical checkup in the US over what sources say is persistent pain in his limbs.
But Director of Communication Nyambega Gisesa has hit back on the former legislator, saying that he is 'meddling' in the affairs of the county.
"Sumra is a loser who should not meddle in Nyamira issues. He should keep off from commenting on Nyamira matters," he said.
Last year, Nyagarama was accused of fraudulently acquiring ODM ticket in which former West Mugirango MP James Gesami was also interested in.
Early this year, Nyagarama was subjected to harsh criticism by a section of ODM members who accused him of disloyalty.
