Ainabkoi Member of Parliament William Chepkut has sent a message of condolences to the family and friends of the late Eldoret based Human Rights activist Ken Wafula.
He said Wafula was a man who stood for the right and pursued it to the end no matter how hard it was.
“I have personally known him for many years as a dauntless and fearless person who was ready to offer his life for the sake of the rights of a common man. We have lost a great person whose gap will never be filled by any person,” he said in Eldoret town, Friday.
“I pray to God for his family, relatives, friends and the entire nation to be granted comfort and strength during this period of mourning such a great man. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” he added.
Wafula died on Wednesday 17th January 2018 morning at St Luke's Hospital in Eldoret after developing diabetes and high blood pressure complications.
Until his death, he was the director of CHRD.
