The Kenya Airports Authority has been sued for dismissing a security officer, who made Education Cabinet Secretary, Fred Matiang’I queue for a security check at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
Daisy Cherogony was working at the JKIA when she was accused of mistreating and humiliating Dr Matiang'i by insisting he should queue with other passengers for a security check on April 6, 2017.
The CS was scheduled to fly to Kisumu.
Ms Cherogony was suspended and later fired from her post as a security supervisor.
The security guard said she was accused of making a mistake that does not exist and was victimised by the airline authority.
She wants the court to declare her termination unfair and award her Sh2.4 million for wrongful dismissal.
KAA has 15 days to respond to Cherongony’s suit.
