Malindi Member of Parliament (MP) Aisha Jumwa has dismissed reports that she was heckled by angry protesters over the weekend over her support for Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
The ODM lawmaker termed the reports as fake, and blamed her political opponents who are eyeing for the Kilifi County gubernatorial seat come 2022.
Jumwa who seeks to succeed Governor Amason Kingi, said Kilifi politicians eyeing 2022 gubernatorial seat are feeling the heat and uncomfortable with her unprecedented political rise and support therefore starting mud sliding campaigns.
She said the video purporting to show her being heckled was captured 2 years ago before ODM nominations and dismissed critics who want her to stop campaigning for Ruto and her gubernatorial bid.
