Speaking to journalists  in Mombasa  during  the closure of three day National Assembly post election seminar on Wednesday, Jumwa said that Raila is fresh and healthy to contest in other two or more  presidential elections.

Jumwa said that those calling for Raila’s retirement are afraid and want him out in the race for them to have an easy run.

He said that the former Prime Minister is the savior the country needs for serious liberation.

“Raila has the strength, energy and proper mind to contest and win in the coming presidential elections and people should stop pestering him with retirement calls,” she said.

The ODM MP said that they will champion for Raila’s presidency fearlessly in 2022.

She asked Deputy President William Ruto and others to prepare themselves for a heavier battle in 2022.

ODM politicians are rooting for Raila’s presidency in 2022, a move that continues to create heat and suspicions in the NASA coalition.

Raila signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka in 2017 that was to see him (Kalonzo) fly the NASA ticket in 2022.

Political analysts, however, argues that Raila could trash the agreement after he failed to clinch the presidency in last year's general election.

Pressure has been mounting on Kalonzo to dumb Raila on grounds that he  might not support him in 2022.

On Saturday, Raila was quoted allegedly , saying that some people in the NASA coalition are about to betray him.

The former Prime Minister asked supporters to remain strong and prepare for tough times ahead.

Raila has since denied making such comments insisting that the NASA coalition is united and intact.

On Tuesday, Raila, Kalonzo, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula held a NASA summit meeting where they agreed to remain togyetehr and continue the push for reforms.

The principal's threatened to boycott the 2022 presidential election if proper reforms are not constituted in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
