Outspoken Malindi lawmaker Aisha Jumwa has dismissed claims that she intentionally skipped Raila Odinga's meeting in Mombasa of Monday.
The ODM party, through Secretary General, Raila warned that he may take disciplinary actions against those who missed the event.
"We have not been notified formally why they missed and should they fail to explain, we shall take actions against them," said Sifuna.
Lately, a section of coastal ODM MPs have been working closely with Deputy President William Ruto, a move that has angered Raila's camp.
And Jumwa, one of the high profile opposition leader to have supported Ruto, said she was not within the country during the meeting.
"I sent my apology to ODM WhatsApp Group notifying the leadership that I will not attend as I was abroad," she said in a text message.
A section of ODM supporters have been pushing for her removal from Parliamentary Service Commission, one of the lucrative seat in the house.
Last week, she was pictured with Raila Odinga watching a World Cup match before the ODM leader flew to Kisumu.
