Former Vihiga governor Moses Akaranga has said that withdrawal of NASA presidential candidate from the repeat presidential polls will not have any impact.

According to Akaranga, the election will go on even if NASA does not participate.

He said NASA’s withdrawal from the race should not interfere with the poll date, “as the Constitution is clear about it”.

He said that having Ekuro Aukot and others in the race means the election will go on and Kenyans will elect their leader.

Akaranga also added that NASA cannot hold the country to ransom, as their ‘irreducible-minimum’ demands are unconstitutional.

“By opting out, Raila has given a good chance to Uhuru Kenyatta to win easily on October 26,” Akaranga said.
